What to do
Sit together and look at the picture. Let your child lead — follow what they notice first.

“What can you see?”
“What colour are the toys?”
“Can you find toys that are the same?”
👉 Then, depending on the age of your child, add one or more words:
“All the red toys together.”
“A full blue basket.”
“Different colours in each basket.”
If no answer
That’s okay — keep talking:
“These are toys.”
“This is red.”
“They are the same colour.”
