Week 21 – Picture of the Week

Grown-Up Guide: Let’s Talk!

What to do

Sit together and look at the picture. Let your child lead — follow what they notice first.

You say it first (Copy + Add)

“I can see flowers.”
“There is a bee on the flower.”
“The plants are growing in the soil.”

👉 Then, depending on the age of your child, add one or more words:

“A busy little bee.”
“Bright colourful flowers.”
“Dark brown soil.”

💬 3 questions to build language

“What can you see?”
“Where is the bee?”
“What do plants need to grow?”

If no answer

That’s okay — keep modelling:

“It’s a flower.”
“That is a bee.”
“The plant is growing.”
