What to do
Sit together and look at the picture. Let your child lead — follow what they notice first.
You say it first (Copy + Add)
“I can see a path.”
“The path goes around the trees.”
“It bends and turns.”
👉 Then, depending on the age of your child, add one or more words:
“A long winding path.”
“A path going around the park.”
“A curvy, bendy path.”

“What can you see?”
“Where does the path go?”
“Can you see where it turns?”
If no answer
That’s okay — keep modelling:
“It’s a path.”
“It goes around.”
“We can walk on it.”
